Online Application for Giro Payments to Benefit Over Two Million Taxpayers
DBS and the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) have introduced eGIRO, a new service that allows more taxpayers to apply for GIRO payments online.
Through the IRAS myTax portal, both individuals and businesses can now conveniently set up automatic tax payments.CPF Special Account for 1.4 Million Members were Closed
The Special Accounts (SA) of some 1.4 Million Central Provident Fund (CPF) members aged 55 and above were closed on Jan 19. Savings there have been transferred to the Retirement Account (RA), up to members' cohort Full Retirement Sum (FRS), where they will continue to earn the long-term interest rate from January onwards.
