Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ)

Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) is taking shape with the signing of a MOU between Malaysia and Singapore. MOU signing is witnessed by PM Lee Hsien Loong and Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim on Jan 11, 2024.

The JS-SEZ is expected to further boost trade between Johor and Singapore. The special economic zone is also expected to improve the business ecosystems of both the Iskandar Malaysia region and Singapore.

Among the sectors that the zone is targeting are electronics, financial services, business‑related services and healthcare.

Singapore Mandates Increased Sustainability Reporting from Listed Firms in 2025

All listed companies in Singapore will be required to make climate-related disclosures starting from the financial year (FY) of 2025.






















Such disclosures will have to be done based on local reporting standards that are aligned with the International Sustainability Standards Board.

CPF Interest Rates Drop to 4.05% for Q2

Central Provident Fund (CPF) members will earn a slightly lower interest rate of 4.05 per cent per annum for their Special, MediSave and Retirement (SMRA) accounts for the second quarter of 2024.
